What if...?

The day has come, and everyone is waiting for the last episode ever to air.

It's a strong, huge, heartbreaking feeling - wanting to watch it but not wanting it to end at the same time. And just as Luke tweeted earlier:

Same, Luke, same.

But why don't we all look into what could have happened if we got a season 4?

Let's start...

1. Dark!Magnus and Alec trying to save him from Edom

Yes, we're getting this in the 2 hours and half series finale, probably, but how can you even compare a whole season about this whole thing with an episode only?

That would have been the greatest thing ever to watch. Our angelic soldier Alexander Gideon Lightwood fighting with the whole world (and downworld) to save his loved one. Heartbreakingly beautiful, to be honest.

2. More Clace, and less pain for them

Clace, just as Malec, got through so much pain during the seasons. Many rumours out there are saying they won't get the happy ending we all wished for and this is what's making every fan out there feeling mad. Maybe a season 4 would have been the right answer for this amazing couple to fix all the pain they've been through and finally live in peace.

3. Sizzy and their love

We all knew from season 1 that Sizzy was going to happen. I mean, just look at them from the first time they met until now - it has always been pretty clear! But, how did it take so freaking long to make them actually happen? They deserved a season 4 so much. They're literally getting together in the last episode only - no one deserved this and no one asked for this - we wanted to see their love develop and their storyline as a couple.

4. Haline This new couple is already in the hearts of many people. Two strong women loving each other. So sad these two had to appear the most in the last episodes only - imagine the important role they would have had if there was a next season. Another healthy, beautiful, LGBTQ+ representation we needed so bad.

5. Underhill

His character could have been another important one. His cuteness and his appreciation towards Alec and Magnus for making him feel more confident about his sexuality was one of the best things ever. We all deserved to see his development!

6. Lorenzo

Another character who deserved more. He seems evil, yes, but we all wanted to know more about his history and life, because deep down we all know he has a heart. And, of course, we wanted to see him happy too!

7. Jonathan and his evil plans

We already saw A LOT about Jonathan's evil, but imagine getting more scenes and more plans. What if he became a good guy at some point? And we fell in love with Luke Baines, didn't we?

8. Helen Blackthorn

We know so little about her, but we love her already. Showrunners said that there were huge plans for her and the Blackthorn family and the kids and the LA institute, so there could have been characters from The Dark Artifices book series too, and we could have seen LA too. Sigh.

9. Brother Zachariah

Who read the books knows what happens to him at some point and knows about his whole story, too. We got to see him for a few times only, when in reality he deserved more screen time because of his whole situation. We're all so glad, though, that he saved Malec and that he's going to marry them. *Screams*.

10. Clizzy

Their friendship just didn't get what it deserved. They got to spend so little time together because of all the bad things that happened to Clary, and we all wanted to see them become even closer.

11. Maia

After Jordan's not-so-happy ending, what about Maia? She's the alpha but deserves some love! We want to finally see her being happy too.

12. Meliorn, Raphael and other downworlders

Who didn't want to know more about our favourite seelie? We all wanted to see him more often! Another great LGBTQ+ representation, along with Raphael and the other downworlders. Also, Raphael is a human now, just as he's always wished for. We saw them both having some love affairs with Izzy, but didn't get to know anything about their love life right after.

We're really hoping to get some answers to our questions in tonight's episode, even though it still wouldn't be the same thing as getting a whole season about them all. Another season could have given us what we all wanted: couples and new characters' storylines development, new stories, new plans and maybe... different endings.

We will never thank the whole cast enough for their hard work and what they've always done for us all.
